The first Colt Gold Cup pistol was introduced in the late 1950’s to give competitive shooters a gun to take directly from the dealer’s showcase to the firing line. When the were issued later in the powerful 38 Super caliber they provided competitors with the same steel-plate knocking power than the original 45 ACP with less recoil. Colt Gold Cup pistols are still been used to win local club matches through the National Matches at Camp Perry. It features an adjustable wide trigger; National Match stainless barrel; adjustable target sights, and many other refinements as standard.
