While most people may envision blued steel and walnut stocks (we have got you covered there too), we take a great deal of pride in keeping up with the demands of modern hunters while not losing sight of our heritage. With the Lever Action X Model .30-30 we have borrowed that Americana spirit from one of the most legendary hunting platforms of all time and lovingly poured it into a feature-packed rifle for today’s whitetail woodsman.

Tough synthetic furniture provides a lightweight and worry-free alternative to our typical hardwood and accommodates in-line sling swivel studs, a Picatinny rail, and M-Lok accessory slots on the forestock. The solid rubber recoil pad ensures that the buttstock won’t slip and slide around to keep your shots consistent. The blued steel barrel is topped off with bright fiber optic sights for quick target acquisition, and the receiver is drilled and tapped to accept your choice of optics for those who prefer some magnification. For those who wish to run a suppressor or other muzzle device, the barrel is finished with 5/8×24 threading and a removable thread protector.

Keeping true to our roots, the Lever Action X Model .30-30 utilizes a 5-round removable tube magazine for convenient unloading when the job is done, and the addition of a side loading gate allows that magazine to be kept topped off without needing to remove the tube or suppressor.

There are good reasons that the .30-30 cartridge is still widely popular to this day, and this rifle ensures that it’s not going anywhere any time soon.

A 20-inch round barrel provides enough open sight radius for effective close to medium range engagements. A drilled and tapped receiver offers the option of easy scoping for reaching out further. Side ejection keeps fired casing off the scope and out of your line of sight, with spent brass going towards the front to make it safe for left-handed hunters too. The five-shot tube magazine can be loaded from the front or topped off through the side gate. While deer seldom require 5+1 capacity, hogs or coyotes might. While we are fond of the brass tradition begun by B.T. Henry’s 1860 rifle, we do understand that today’s hunter may prefer something less “pretty” for a working gun, and the Big Boy Steel Side Gate carries on the same brush gun performance of the brass-framed Big Boys.

This Side Gate model come in the powerful 357 Magnum cartridge but also handle milder 38 Special Loads with a 20” round barrel and a large-loop lever for gloved cold-weather use and extra style points. It features fine checkering on the genuine American walnut fore-end and straight-wrist stock, range-adjustable semi-buckhorn rear and brass bead front sights, an automatic in-hammer transfer bar safety, and our best-of-both-worlds side loading gate and removable tube magazine configuration. Rifles hold seven rounds in this carbine version. 

This carbine version fits saddle scabbards snugly, with the milder report of pistol-caliber cartridges being easier on the horse ears. The carbine makes as handy a trail partner in dense woodland undergrowth as it does in off-road vehicles and trucks.

Traditional in appearance, pistol-caliber Big Boys are drilled and tapped for optic mounts for rapid target acquisition with red dots and longer reach with magnified scopes. The Henry Silver Eagle is based on the engraved scroll and silver plated Serial Number 9 Henry Rifle presented to US Secretary of the Navy Gideon Welles by The New Haven Arms Company. Welles served under President Lincoln, distinguished himself as a political leader nationally, and was one of the organizers of the Republican Party. Secretary Welles was also instrumental in the creation of the Navy’s Medal of Honor. Using original photos and hand drawings of the Gideon Welles Serial Number 9 as reference, the master plate used in the creation of the new Silver Eagle pattern was hand cut for production with full coverage on both sides of the receiver cover. The Silver Eagle pattern, like the Henry Rifle itself, is one piece of American history without rival. This model is built on the award winning Henry Golden Boy platform.
