From the lever-action rifle brand comes the newest lever-action rimfire – the Winchester Ranger. This nimble, slick cycling 22 LR rifle is loaded with features and designed to be equally adept in the field hunting rabbits and squirrels as it is making short work of tin cans and punching paper at the shooting range.
What makes the Ranger different is the receiver, which is precision machined from a billet of solid aluminum and durably black anodized. The receiver is lightweight and contributes to the balanced feel of the rifle between the hands. It’s also strong and the precision construction helps ensure longevity. The top of the receiver is grooved to accept optics mounts.
Inside, the action has been carefully developed with light operating forces and a sure feel that make it easy for new shooters to confidently operate the action and pure bliss for seasoned hands to rapidly cycle and fire until the 15-round tubular magazine runs dry.
The high-quality, chromoly steel barrel is produced right alongside the barrels found on our accurate Wildcat and Xpert rimfire rifles. It is precision bored and button rifled to provide year after year of accurate performance.
The Ranger can be separated in two by removing one action screw. This allows you to easily clean the action and run a patch through the barrel from the chamber end to prevent damage to the rifling. The rifling is also protected by a target-style muzzle crown.
In keeping with the traditional look of lever-actions of days gone by, the Ranger wears a straight-grip Walnut stock with a durable satin finish. The 13″ length of pull is comfortable for a wide range of users. Up front, the carbine-style handguard is secured with the traditional steel barrel band.

A beautiful mix of the old and the new: the classic 1885 Low Wall rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor! The Model 1885 is uniquely suited to the long-range accuracy shooting of the day and is the world’s premier single shot hunting rifle. The stout falling-block action is as impressive as ever. The precision barrel is famous for uncanny accuracy. A special internal hanger system allows the forearm to be free-floating so it will not affect accuracy. The hammer actually drops down, out of the way, when the lever is cycled forward. This makes loading and unloading very convenient. The Model 1885 also features a strong, machined steel receiver and crisp, adjustable trigger.
Overview
Well over one hundred years old, the Model 1885 still impresses with solid lock up, exceptional accuracy, unparalleled looks. The Model 1885 has been synonymous with accuracy since the turn-of-the-century rifle matches in Creedmoor, New York; when long-range shooting was as popular as professional football. The falling block design is strong and has been utilized for a broad variety of calibers for more than 100 years. This version incorporates a Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad to soak up the recoil of the cartridge, ensuring comfortable shooting, round after round at the range or in the field.
