Who can forget the protagonist role of the Spencer rifle in the movie Unforgiven? Conversation piece, collectable and 100% functional this 1865 Spencer Rifle from Cimarron Arms will get a smile every time you see it! Manufactured by Chiappa; famous for combining historical accuracy with modern materials and state-of-art manufacturing techniques. A Chiappa reproduction is actually safer and more accurate and reliable that the 19th century originals they reproduce. Originally designed by Christopher Miner Spencer, the Spencer rifle gained fame after being adopted by the Union Army during the American Civil War. A manually operated lever action fed from a tube magazine in the buttstock, the Spencer rifle was a vast improvement over the muzzle loading rifles being used during the war. Chiappa Firearms reproduction is manufactured from precision CNC parts precisely joined to beautiful, hand oiled walnut stocks. Color case finish receivers are joined to precision rifle barrels with a blued finish.
